Comics: Kurtzman's Comic Books
This post is just the tip of the iceberg... see reason number 2 on our The Top Ten Reasons To Support The A-HAA for links to more great posts about comics.

Today, Kent Butterworth stopped by on his lunch break to watch Terry Bears cartoons featuring eye popping Jim Tyer animation. I realized that it's been a while since I posted any comic book scans from Kent's great collection of golden age funny animal comics. I'm righting that wrong right now with some great examples by Harvey Kurtzman. Enjoy! (Thanks Kent!)

Thanks for sharing these Kurtzman comics, especially the Pot-Shot Pete comic.
I knew about his Pig Tales comics, but not much on his work with Pot-shot Pete, and from just looking at that comic, I am impressed both as a reader and as an artist (of some kind!) Great staging, nice graphic shading, and real cartoony poses that are amusing and have appeal that only Golden Age comics have.
Thanks, Kent! I will be staying tuned to viewing future comics from his stash.
Thank you so much. Love Kurtzman's work. Especially his extreme poses/panels. They read great, have great energy and make you laugh.
