Comics: Wally Wood in Mad Magazine 1954
Notice the way they start some movies nowadays?... No title at the beginning... The movie starts right in with a scene...

Many thanks to Archive supporter Amir Avni for this fantastic Wally Wood story, Wild 1/2 from Mad magazine (Sept. 1954).

This is great! I picked up a bunch of the MAD paperbacks from the 70's at a used book store and have been marveling at all of the different styles that Wally Wood could draw in. My all-time favorite is when he parodied Walt Kelly's Pogo. The art in that strip is top-notch, dead-on Walt Kelly. Wally Wood was a genius of superior draftsmanship.
Thanks Amir and Steve for this excellent post!
I second that! Thanks Amir and Steve! This is brilliant cartooning!
Glad you folks like it! I like to share, Thanks for posting Steve!
Good Hell, Wally Wood was a genius!
I wanted this for a class where we're discussing The Wild One -- imagine my delighted surprise to find it!
