Illustration: Felix Lorioux's Tom Thumb
This post is just the tip of the iceberg... see reason number 3 on our The Top Ten Reasons To Support The A-HAA for links to more great posts about children's book illustrators.
Jenavira13 and her friends requested more by Felix Lorioux, so here is the first of three tales from Perrault published in 1926. These delicate watercolors aren't as elaborately rendered as the ones in our previous postings of Fables De La Fontaine and Le Buffon des Enfants, but the drawing (particularly of nature) and the composition and framing of the images is beautiful. Enjoy!
The other two stories in this book are Cinderella and Puss in Boots. I'd be happy to post them if you would like to see them too.
If you found this to be useful, see also... Fables De La Fontaine Part One and Part Two, Felix Lorioux's Le Buffon des Enfants, Rojankovsky's Frog Went A-Courtin', Tibor Gergely's A Day In The Jungle, Gustaf Tenggren's The Little Trapper, Uncle Remus Stories Part One and Part Two, Little Verses Part One, Part Two and The New Golden Song Book Part One, Part Two and Part Three, and Huckleberry Hound Builds A House.

Wow, Genius!
I'd love to see the other two. Do you have any of Felix's work with Disney characters?
