Illustration: Felix Lorioux's Fables De La Fontaine
This post is just the tip of the iceberg... see reason number 3 on our The Top Ten Reasons To Support The A-HAA for links to more great posts about children's book illustrators.

A couple of weeks ago, I posted the illustrations by Felix Lorioux for Le Buffon des Enfants. Here's another jaw-droppingly beautiful book by Lorioux...

These are the most beautiful pages. The word unbelievable gets thrown around a lot but these really are. I'm glad you put these up.
brilliant!
Beautiful!
I just don't think most kids books nowadays have the beauty of the illustrations that these older books have. I'm so glad you've posted these great pictures here--it brings up a lot of happy memories from my childhood! I hope you can post more of them soon. I also love that you vary these with everything from advertising art to Playboy pinup cartoons!
Damn straight! Let's see more of this. One can never get too much of animal illustrations of this high quality- I can definitely see influence by the old Persian and Mughal masters, Bhizad, Mansoor and Abdus Samad.
