Animation Art: MGM Animation Drawings
This post is just the tip of the iceberg... see the bonus reason on our The Top Ten Reasons To Support The A-HAA for links to more great posts featuring animation art.

Today, we digitized a collection of animation drawings from MGM. Can anyone out there name all the cartoons represented here? Post your guesses to the comments below. Have fun!

Slap Happy Lion? Senor Droopy? I can't remember all the names. I could easily cheat by looking online- but I was honest!
On a personal side note: did you get my emails, Steve?
Thanks for putting these drawings up by the way!!!
We are all truly indebted to you guys over yonder!
Holy crap, where didyou find these?
Here are my guesses:
3. Swing Wedding (Harman Ising)
4. Looks like a Dick Lundy short?
7. Little Hiawatha
8. Screwy Truant
9, 10, 11. Slap Happy Lion
12. Senor Droopy
13. Dumb Hounded
14. Screwball Squirrel
15. What's that one where Georeg and Junior are chasing chickens? Of Mice and Hen or something?
16. Symphony in Slang
I know a few of these;
1. and 6. Flirty Birdy
4. Sufferin Cats
WOW!!! AWESOME DRAWINGS!!
Unbelievably beautiful drawings. Total craftsmanship in each line.
02 - Honeyland
03 - Goggle Fishing Bear
These are some great pieces of vintage artwork. The web certainly needs more of them on it that's for sure.
Question: what does the TP stand for on the picture of the lion waving goodbye because of the lit bomb he swallowed? Does it mean that the animator who drew it didn't like how it turned out and was going to use it for "T.P."? ;)
T.P. is a note for the inker to ink the cel upside down with the pegs on the top... "Top Pegs"
Thanks
Steve
