Story: Ren & Stimpy Big House Blues Seq 03

This post is just the tip of the iceberg... see The Top Ten Reasons To Support The A-HAA for more amazing animation related articles.

Ren and Stimpy

It's been quite a while since I posted an installment of the storyboard to the pilot episode of the original Ren & Stimpy Show, Big House Blues. ASIFA-Hollywood owes a debt of gratitude to John Kricfalusi for generously sharing this material with us. This is a fascinating look at the Genesis of one of the most successful animated TV shows of all time. If you missed it, see Part One of this storyboard and Part Two.

I'm a bit puzzled by that reference to a computer-animated montage. Steve, do you know of any inside stories about this? Does John or anyone who worked on BHB remember scratch about it? Normally I accept that some things are simply lost to history, but this was, and is, one of the most visionary and ambitious cartoons ever made. I scarcely feel I could go on living without knowing SOMETHING about every potential idea that came and went during production of this priceless modern masterpiece. Sorta like if there was an alternate take of "Good Golly Miss Molly" wherein Little Richard yodeled the definition of "endoplasm" from an Japanese dictionary between verses - sure, there was probably a good reason why it was scrapped, but presuming it exists......I CAN'T SURVIVE ANOTHER DAY ON THIS EARTH WITHOUT HEARING IT!!!!

Anything you can tell me about that scene would be much appreciated. Keep up the good work!
