Meta: Contest! What Does The Archive Mean To You?

Drawing the LineDrawing the LineTom Sito generously donated an autographed copy of his new book, Drawing The Line to be used as a prize for a contest.

Drawing The Line is an important work of film scholarship that discusses and documents a great American art form and industry from a unique point of view. It's the story of how the artisans behind our most popular cartoon characters struggled to get fair wages and fair treatment from their employers. --Jerry Beck

HOW THE CONTEST WORKS

The ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive needs your help to get the word out about the valuable resources we are providing to students, artists and researchers. Here is how you can help, and perhaps win the book!

  • Write a blog posting or discussion forum post telling other folks about your favorite archive article- or how the material we are providing inspired you in your work- or a personal experience volunteering at the archive office. The general idea to get across is that the ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive is a great resource that is free to everyone who loves animation

  • Post the URL of your posting in the comments below

  • In two weeks, the President of ASIFA-Hollywood, Antran Manoogian will select the best post and will award the autographed book to the writer
