Meta: Telecine Rank Arrives

the ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive by
Los Angeles Valley College.
Eric Swelstad, an instructor at LA Valley College had an unused Rank-Cintel telecine rig taking up space on a sound stage at their film department. Archive supporters, John Ellis and Linda Fields told him about the ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive, and aquired the equipment for us. We'll find great use for it, transferring 35mm and 16mm animated films to digital video. The telecine equipment arrived at the archive on Thursday, and we are in the process of cleaning it and getting it ready to be installed. If anyone has any technical experience in pro video and would like to volunteer some time to getting this equipment up and rolling, please contact me at... sworth@animationarchive.org.
