Media: Boody Rogers' Babe Comics

This post is just the tip of the iceberg... see reason number 2 on our The Top Ten Reasons To Support The A-HAA for links to more great posts about print cartoonists.

Boody RogersBoody RogersCruising the web, I stumbled across the Glyph Jockey Blog. The proprietor, Lex10 featured a mind bending comic by an artist I had never heard of before, Boody Rogers. I mentioned the name to the all-knowing Kent Butterworth, and he provided me with scans to this epic riff on Li'l Abner by Rogers, originally published in Babe comics.

Here is the first half of the story...

Check out this other Boody Rogers comic, Sparky Watts in Big Shot Comics on the Glyph Jockey blog. Thanks to Lex10 and Kent Butterworth for bringing this great stuff to my attention.

Boody was brilliant and hilarious, and these original comics are hard as heck to find (my set of Babe took me close to 15 years to track down) Thanks for sharing.
