A month ago, we did a post on George Petty's Ridgid Tools Calendars. That post has been generating a lot of interest among artists in the Blogosphere, so here is another 12 months of "Petty Girls". Regardless of the "kitsch" content and subject matter, these paintings are wonderful examples of masterful use of the airbrush. You'll see references to Petty in the work of recent artists like Dave Stevens and Sandra.
