Media: Mexican Lobby Card Fiesta
Here's another reminder to stop by the ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive to see our exhibit of Mexican Lobby Cards. The images that we have posted here in our blog just scratch the surface of this wonderful collection.This is my fourth post on this subject, so I don't need to say much about the subject, except to say "enjoy!" The spirit of fun leaps right off the pages.

The Animation Archive is a project of International Animated Film Society: ASIFA-Hollywood, a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization. We are building a museum, library and digital archive for the benefit of animation professionals, cartoonists, designers, students and the general public. Our database of images, biographic info and films contains thousands of entries- animated cartoons, artwork, and filmographies. Contributions and volunteers are needed to make the dream a reality.

Weird lobby card for Santa Claus?
Again it's from a K. Gordon Murray production.

hi, as a young mexican adult, I'm very happy to see these posters, they bring lots of memories from when I was a kid =).
I remember watching many of these movies in the afternoon, on public television. You can still watch many of them in the Televisa channel on Sundays' afternoons.

Oh, and by the way, the Little Red Riding Hood movie is so kitsch, beyond kitsch, mega-campy-naive-kitschy!
Yes, more kitsch than El Santo movies :P
