Media: Yet More Amazing Ray Patin Studios Drawings

This post is just the tip of the iceberg... see the bonus reason on our The Top Ten Reasons To Support The A-HAA for links to more great posts featuring animation art.

Dan Goodsell was back by the archive to pick up the last batch of Ray Patin Studios drawings from his collection, and drop off another batch to be digitized. If you haven't seen the first batch or the second batch, check them out. This is one of the most important collections of 1950s commercial design in existence. ASIFA-Hollywood is grateful to Dan for letting us add his collection to our digital archive. Here are some scans from today...

The amazing thing is that the images we are posting here are just the tip of the iceberg. The collection is varied and extensive... much more than we can post here. Come in to the archive to see the rest.

Krazy Kids FoodDan's book, titled Krazy Kids' Food!, is an incredible visual guide to 1950s and 60s food graphics. If you don't have it in your library, it's worth picking up.

More material will be digitized on Thursday. We could use one more volunteer. If you would like to help out, drop me an email at sworth@animationarchive.org". We will be open from 1pm to 9pm. If you can stop by, please do.

If you're a fan of 50s cartoon design, you'll want to check out Amid Amidi's fantastic blog called Cartoon Modern.

Love the Cool Cats. Will probably inspire my own Nekomimi!
