Volunteer: Not In The Area? You Can Still Help!
It's great to have volunteers helping out in the Archive office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but there are things you can do to help, even if you live thousands of miles away.
HELP SPREAD THE WORD
Download and print out copies of our ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive Brochure. Give copies to your friends and associates at school or work, or take them to your local art school or university library. If you have a website or blog, include a link and short description of our project so your readers can find us.
BE A DIGITAL VOLUNTEER
If you have a collection of important artwork and artifacts relating to the history of animation, and you have the facilities to scan your own collection at 600dpi, arrange to send us digital copies. If you are in the process of transferring your collection of cartoons from tape to DVD, back up your uncompressed, broadcast quality DV captures and send them in. If you would like to do research, join the Bio Squad and help us gather information on the leading figures in animation.
CONTRIBUTE
If you or anyone you know have important archival material, think about donating it to the ASIFA-Hollywood Archives. Collect donations from your friends and send them to us to help us take the Archive to the next level. Any contribution. large or small helps us reach our goals.
Thanks for your support!

I'm beginning a class in 2 weeks on how to convert video tape to DVD. If I get good at it, I'll make it a point to include you with any successful copying of my cartoon collections.

I have a copy of "The Fleischer Story" by Leslie Cabarga which contains many images from Fleischer and other early animations. I am happy to scan these for the archive, if required. Please let me know if this would be a wanted contribution.
